Model: seedance-2-5Aerial drone shot pushing forward over a fog-filled mountain valley at sunrise, peaks piercing through a sea of clouds, golden light grazing the ridgelines. Smooth forward flight with a slow upward tilt, vast scale, cinematic color grading, ultra realistic landscape footage.
Model: seedance-2-5Animate this portrait photo: subtle natural blinking, gentle head micro-movements, hair swaying slightly, soft breathing motion in the shoulders, consistent facial identity and lighting preserved, background stays static, realistic and lifelike result, no distortion of facial features.
Model: seedance-2-5An office worker in business attire walks away from a desk in exaggerated slow motion while papers fly into the air behind them, dramatic wind machine effect, deadpan facial expression, colleagues reacting in the blurred background. Low angle camera, epic action-movie lighting applied to a mundane office, comedic contrast, vertical video.
Model: seedance-2-5Extreme slow motion of hot espresso pouring from a moka pot into a clear glass cup, crema swirling in golden-brown ribbons, steam rising in soft backlight. Macro lens, shallow focus shifting from stream to cup, warm kitchen morning light, hyperrealistic liquid physics, appetizing commercial food cinematography, vertical format.
Model: seedance-2-5Anime style: a high school student in uniform stands on a school rooftop, wind lifting their hair and collar, cumulus clouds drifting across a bright summer sky. Slow pan from sky down to the character, hand-drawn cel shading, soft bloom, lens flare from the sun, gentle emotional atmosphere, classic Japanese animation aesthetic.
Model: seedance-2-5A fluffy orange cat waking up on a windowsill as warm morning sunlight streams through sheer curtains. The cat stretches, yawns widely, then blinks slowly at the camera. Gentle handheld camera with a slight drift, soft golden light, dust particles floating in the air, cozy domestic atmosphere, realistic fur detail, vertical video for social media.
Model: seedance-2-5A lone figure in a long weathered coat stands in a narrow cyberpunk alley at night, neon signs reflecting in rain puddles. The figure slowly turns to face the camera as the camera pushes in from a low angle. Volumetric haze, drifting steam, flickering holographic signage, cinematic teal and magenta color grading, subtle rain particles, moody sci-fi atmosphere.
Model: seedance-2-5Luxury perfume bottle standing on black polished stone, dramatic rim lighting, golden mist slowly swirling around the glass. Macro camera glides from left to right, capturing refracted light inside the liquid, droplets sliding down the glass surface. High-end commercial product cinematography, deep shadows, crisp highlights, ultra clean composition, no text.
Model: seedance-2-5A cinematic close-up of a young adult fashion model standing on a quiet rooftop during blue hour, natural skin texture, dark hair moving gently in the wind, soft city lights glowing behind her. She looks away from camera, then slowly turns toward the lens. The camera performs a subtle slow dolly-in, shallow depth of field, realistic fabric and hair motion, cool ambient light mixed with warm practical lights, premium fashion campaign, restrained natural movement, realistic cinematic footage.
Model: seedance-2-5Seedance 2.5 responds best to prompts that read like a shot list: one clear subject, one continuous action, and explicit camera and lighting directions. The ten prompts in the library above are real, production-tested examples — the thumbnails are actual frames from Seedance 2.5 outputs. Copy any of them, or use the template in this guide to write your own.
Every strong Seedance 2.5 prompt answers seven questions in order: what is in the frame (subject), what it is doing (action), where it happens (environment), how the camera moves (camera), how the scene is lit (lighting), how things move over time (motion), and what the final footage should look like (style).
Write them as one flowing paragraph rather than a comma-separated list — Seedance 2.5 reads natural language best. Keep the subject and action in the first sentence, because early tokens carry the most weight. Save fine detail such as skin texture, fabric behaviour and atmosphere for the end of the prompt, where it refines rather than competes with the main instruction.
Subject + Action + Environment + Camera + Lighting + Motion + StyleExample: A cinematic close-up of a fashion model (subject) turning slowly toward the lens (action) on a rooftop at blue hour (environment), slow dolly-in (camera), soft city lights glowing behind her (lighting), hair moving gently in the wind (motion), premium fashion campaign, realistic cinematic footage (style).
Seedance 2.5 understands standard cinematography vocabulary, so name the move explicitly: slow dolly-in, orbit around the subject, handheld follow, crane reveal, static tripod shot. Combine at most two moves in a single 4–8 second clip — a push-in combined with a subject turn reads far better than four stacked moves the model has to interpolate.
Shot size matters just as much. Use close-ups for faces and products, medium shots for interaction, and wide or aerial framing for landscape reveals. If you want a specific focal character, say so: shallow depth of field, 35mm look, macro lens. The model rewards precision over adjectives — "slow dolly-in, shallow depth of field" beats "beautiful cinematic camera work" every time.
Lighting is the cheapest way to make generated footage look premium. Name a time and a source: blue hour, golden hour, overcast window light, neon signs at night, a single softbox in a dark studio. Then describe how the light interacts with your subject — rim light on hair, practical lights glowing in the background, reflections on wet asphalt.
For products, prefer studio language: seamless backdrop, soft gradient shadow, controlled highlights. For lifestyle scenes, prefer motivated sources: window light, street lamps, fireplace glow. Avoid contradictions like "bright sunny night" — conflicting light descriptions usually produce flat, muddy footage.
When you animate a photo with image-to-video, the reference image replaces your subject and environment — so the prompt only needs to describe motion. Keep it minimal and physical: subtle natural blinking, gentle head micro-movements, hair swaying slightly, consistent facial identity preserved. Then say explicitly what should not move: background stays static.
The most common image-to-video failure is over-directing. If you ask a portrait to walk, talk and turn simultaneously, the model distorts the face trying to satisfy all three. One or two motion instructions per clip produces the most lifelike result — see the Bring Portrait Photos Alive prompt in the library for a working example.
Four mistakes account for most weak Seedance 2.5 outputs. First, multi-scene prompts: "she walks in, then it cuts to the beach, then a logo appears" describes an edit, not a shot — one prompt equals one continuous shot, and scene changes belong in post. Second, contradictory motion: slow motion and fast action in the same clip cancel each other out.
Third, text in the frame: asking for signage, logos or subtitles produces garbled glyphs, so add text in your editor instead. Fourth, vague style words: "very beautiful, 8K, masterpiece" adds nothing — name the actual look instead, such as 35mm film grain, soft pastel palette or documentary realism.
Start at 480p to iterate on composition and motion cheaply, then regenerate your best take at 720p for the final render. Keep clips in the 4–8 second range while you experiment — shorter generations are faster and cheaper, and Seedance 2.5 holds a single action best inside that window.
Copy any prompt card above, or open it and press Generate to load it straight into the VidAndPic AI video generator with the model, aspect ratio and duration pre-set. Swap one variable at a time — change the environment, then the lighting, then the camera move — so you always know which change improved the shot.
